Umbro: Re-imagining an icon
Umbro has been at the heart and soul of football since 1924. We were honoured to be asked to re-vitalise the famous diamond brand mark.
The original Manchester-based football brand that invented tailored sportswear, Umbro designed its first major football kit for Manchester City in 1934, a kit they won the FA Cup in.
Working closely with the Umbro team (owned by Nike, now Iconix) our goal was to reinvigorate the iconic brand, reflecting its exciting vision and passion for football across the globe.
The world is our oyster
The visionary re-imagination of the iconic diamond mark has created the impetus for an exciting new chapter in Umbro’s worldwide development. The brand’s increasing global marketing landscape is now an impressive;
90 countries
Where Umbro is sold across the world, for football, training kits and with increasing momentum, a new range of fashion.
Beyond football
Proudly adorning an exquisitely tailored new kit design, the first airing was made by the England football team giving the brand a powerful international platform.
This success has been the catalyst for leading football clubs right across the globe to adopt the brand, including: Hearts FC, Newell’s Old Boys, West Ham and Werder Bremen.
The success of the brand re-invention is now really paying off. With Umbro extending into re-designing the England Rugby Kit in 2020, and the latest exciting development, the design of the Williams F1 Racing team kit for the 2021 season.
